PMI at 8 months low 56.6

The pace of manufacturing remained slow in September. PMI at 8-month low of 56.6, but employment opportunities increase in 2022-23. In the manufacturing sector, employment opportunities increased by 55 percent in Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka. Industrial output, metal, petroleum, food products, chemical and motor vehicle industries saw the highest growth of 21.5 percent in 2022-23.
