Major steps are being taken to promote industrial development in Uttar Pradesh. Integrated manufacturing cluster will be established on 231 acres of land of Bharat Pumps and Compressors Limited in Prayagraj. Apart from this, instructions have been given to set up an EV plant in Naini. The Chief Minister has set a target to acquire 50,000 acres of land and allot 25,000 acres to industries this year.

State Bureau, Lucknow. Integrated Manufacturing Cluster will be established on the land of Bharat Pumps and Compressors Limited (BPCL) in Prayagraj. 231 acres of land of BPCL located in Naini has been identified for manufacturing cluster.

This information was shared in the review meeting of Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPCIDA) at Pickup Bhawan Auditorium on Monday. Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi also gave instructions to the officials to set up an EV plant in Naini.

Target to allot 25 thousand acres of land to industries

Minister Nandi said that in order to make Uttar Pradesh a state with one trillion dollar economy, the Chief Minister has set a target of acquiring 50 thousand acres of land this year and allocating 25 thousand acres of land to industries, which is the responsibility of everyone to fulfill.

Nandi said that a large number of lands are lying vacant in all the industrial areas. The industry is closed, entrepreneurs should be informed about the buy back policy to use such land.

Nandi said that the buy back policy has been made only to restart the closed factories and reduce the losses of the entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs can return the closed factory land to UPSIDA, in return for which they will be paid 60 percent of the current rate.

He also directed to bring OTS scheme for the convenience of entrepreneurs. Principal Secretary Industrial Development Anil Kumar Sagar, Chief Executive Officer UPSIDA Mayur Maheshwari and regional managers of industrial areas were present in the review meeting.

Industries operating without passing the map

Minister Nandi sought information about a large number of industries operating without passing lease deeds and maps in Agra, Kanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Varanasi, Jhansi as well as in all industrial areas, to which the regional managers could not answer.

Nandi instructed all the regional managers to take strict action against the industries operating without getting the maps passed. He directed the officials to complete all pending investigations within two months.
