Bihar: The Agriculture Department official has busted a wire company’s factory manufacturing fake insecticide Notivo drug in a house in front of the power grid located in the city along the Banka-Dhakamod main road. In this raid, fake medicines worth more than Rs 1 crore have been recovered from the company. Investigator Ranjit Kumar had complained to the District Agriculture Officer about selling fake pesticides. After which, on the instructions of DAO Deepak Kumar, a three-member team of the department and a local police officer raided the house. From where the company has recovered a huge quantity of fake pesticides along with packets of chemicals used, wrappers and packing machines etc. The police have arrested the factory operator Kunjbihari Sah.

In this regard, the investigator said that information was received about fake pesticides being made in the brand name of wire companies in a house in front of Shitala Sthan temple in Karhariya Mohalla of the city. On which the raid campaign was conducted under the leadership of Assistant Director Plant Protection Sujit Kumar Pal, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer Pankaj Kumar, Block Agriculture Officer Anil Baitha, who were included in the team formed. In which a large quantity of wire company’s Nativo, about 6 thousand 50 packets filled with insecticide, about 55 hundred empty wrappers, about 85 kg of used chemicals in three sacks and packing machines etc. have been recovered by raiding the factory.

The manager further said that the Kushwaha Agricultural Center shop located near Dudhari Chowk was also raided and ten packets of medicine were recovered. In which a case was registered in Sadar police station against shopkeeper Videshwari Panjiara, resident of Dudhari village and fake medicine factory operator Kunjbihari Sah. It is being told that apart from the district, fake pesticides were being supplied indiscriminately to other districts also. Assistant Director of Plant Protection, who was part of the raid team, has said that as per the MRP of the fake medicine in the name of the seized company, medicines worth more than Rs 1 crore have been recovered. On the other hand, in the entire matter, Sadar Police Station Head Rakesh Kumar said that on the written application given by Ranjit Kumar, an FIR has been registered against two persons under the Copy Right Act. In which the factory operator has been arrested. While raids are being conducted to arrest others.
