American devices maker Apple may soon start manufacturing iPhone SE 4. This smartphone can be launched next year. It could replace the iPhone SE that was introduced almost two years ago. There is a possibility of change in its design.

TF International Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo said in a blog post that Apple’s suppliers will start mass manufacturing of iPhone SE 4 in December. About 86 lakh units of this smartphone can be made from December this year to the first quarter of next. Earlier, Kuo had told that Apple aims to launch iPhone SE 4 in the first quarter of next year. This could be the company’s most affordable iPhone.

Recently, Japanese blog Macotakara leaked some dummy units of the iPhone SE 4. This smartphone looks similar to iPhone 14. It has a mute switch instead of an action button. These images indicate that it will have a single rear camera, flat edges and Face ID system. The size of its dummy unit is 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.8 mm. This is similar to the size of the iPhone 14. This blog claims that the iPhone 14 TPU cases fit dummy units of the iPhone SE 4. However, there is a slight difference in the camera island of these smartphones. The mute switch of iPhone SE 4 is smaller than that of iPhone 14. However, its volume buttons and side buttons remain the same.

This blog shows two different sized dummy units of the iPhone SE 4. The screen of one of these is 6.7 inches and the other is 6.1 inches. This indicates that Apple may launch two versions of this smartphone. One of these could be iPhone SE 4 and the other could be iPhone SE Plus. Macotakara says that the final design and size of this smartphone has not been decided. Apple is getting strong demand for the new iPhone series. In the first three weeks of the start of sale of these smartphones in China, the sales have increased by about 20 percent compared to the iPhone 15 series smartphones introduced last year.
