The accused has made more than 80 pistols

New Delhi. Crime Branch of Delhi Police has busted an arms manufacturing factory in Meerut. Police arrested two accused including arms maker Mashuk Ali and recovered 16 pistols, 41 barrels and arms making equipment etc. The police is gathering information about how many weapons the lover has sold and to whom.

According to Crime Branch’s Special Police Commissioner Devesh Chandra Srivastava, information was received that Ikram, a resident of Meerut, would come to Delhi to give weapons to some criminals. After this, Ikram was arrested from Red Quarter, Kamla Market and two pistols and six cartridges were recovered. During interrogation, Ikram informed about purchasing weapons from his lover of Meerut. On his information, police raided Meerut and arrested Mashuk. After this, on the behest of Mashuk, the police raided a flat in Kanshiram Colony, Meerut and recovered 14 pistols, 41 barrels and 8 equipment used for making weapons from the factory. The accused told that he has made more than 80 pistols and has studied till 10th standard. Several cases are already registered against him including Arms Act, Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019.
