New Delhi. India is becoming a favorite country for foreign companies in manufacturing. Now Chinese companies are also eyeing India to manufacture their products. After big companies like Apple and Google started manufacturing their products in India, now Chinese company Hisense will also make its products in India. The company has tied up with Indian contract manufacturer Epack Durable for the manufacturing of home appliances like ACs, washing machines and refrigerators.

The products manufactured at Epack’s manufacturing facilities will not only be sold in the Indian market, but Hisense will also export these products to international markets. EPAC expects a business of more than Rs 8,000 crore in the next five years under this partnership. Hisense is a major Chinese company. This Chinese company with a valuation of $29 billion sells its products in many countries. This partnership will expand Hisense’s production line in India and help the company strengthen its market presence globally.

New factory will be set up
Epack Durables Hisense will set up a new manufacturing plant to make air conditioners (ACs), washing machines, refrigerators and other small home appliances. Ajay DD Singhania, Managing Director and CEO of Epack, said that Hisense has chosen India as a major manufacturing hub to meet its global requirements.

EPAC will set up a new manufacturing unit in Sricity, Andhra Pradesh, which will have the capacity to manufacture one million room ACs by 2028. The target has been set to start production in this plant from June next year. Steven Lee, Managing Director, Hisense India, said, “This partnership will help us increase our production capabilities in India and meet the market demand here.”
