New Delhi. Foxconn, usually known for Apple’s iPhone assembly, is now manufacturing GB200 superchips for Nvidia. These superchips are a key part of Nvidia’s Blackwell family of computing platforms, which will play a big role in AI and computing in the future. Foxconn Senior VP Benjamin Ting has confirmed that this will be the world’s largest GB200 superchip production facility.

The aim of this project is to mass-produce superchips for Nvidia’s Blackwell platform, the demand for which is currently very high. Nvidia started delivering samples of its Blackwell chips to its customers and partners in August this year. The company expects that these chips will generate revenue of several billion dollars in the fourth quarter.

Foxconn Chairman Young Liu also informed that this plant established in Mexico will be of very high capacity. This step will further strengthen Foxconn’s presence in the field of Artificial Intelligence. The company has already invested more than $500 million in Mexico’s Chihuahua state and it is becoming one of its major manufacturing centers.

Step into AI server and electric vehicle manufacturing
Foxconn’s focus has now moved beyond manufacturing consumer electronics for Apple to manufacturing AI servers and electric vehicles (EVs). Foxconn has said that its supply chain is fully prepared for the Artificial Intelligence revolution. It also includes technologies such as “advanced liquid cooling and heat dissipation,” which are essential for the GB200 server infrastructure. Apart from this, Foxconn has also strengthened its position in electric vehicle manufacturing, and has many plans in this area as well.

Foxconn has introduced new models under the Foxtron brand for EV manufacturing in the last few years and sees huge potential in the automotive sector. Liu said that despite the competition in the EV field, Foxconn is on the right track and will continue to work in it. This strategy of Foxconn will help it expand into new areas beyond consumer electronics.
